Yearly Activities

Prince of Peace parish is a very active parish as you can see from the following usual activies by month:

September: Faith/Bible Study, Parish Picnic, Polka Mass and Ethnic Rosary, SVDP Walk for the Poor.

October: Blessing of animals, Anointing of the Sick, SVDP Blanket Sunday Collection, Faith Formation children host weekend Mass, Trunk-R-Treat.

November: SVDP Veterans Mass, Faith Formation children host weekend Mass, Thanksgiving Mass

December: Advent, Faith Formation children host weekend Mass, Candy Canes and St. Nicholas celebration, Breakfast with Santa, Christmas.

January: New Year’s Celebration, Epiphany Celebration, Baptism of the Lord.

February: Blessing of Throats, World Marriage Sunday, Faith Formation host weekend Mass, Bread Sunday, Catholic Charities Appeal.

March:  Reverse Raffle, Lent and Ash Wednesday, Faith/Bible Study, Lenten Fish Frys, Stations of the Cross, Holy Week(Foot Washing, Family Stations, Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Vigil).

April: Easter, Divine Mercy Sunday,

May: First Communion, Confirmation, May Crowing, Mother’s Day Blessing, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday.

June: Father’s Day Blessing.

July: Grandparents Day Blessing, SVDP Baby Shower Collection for Barberton Pregnancy Center.

August:   Summer Social, Feast of the Assumption, Beginning of Faith Formation.

Other activities parishioners are involved in throughout the year: Food Collection for Barberton Area Community Ministries, Soup Kitchen, Community Kitchen, Common Threads Clothing Program, Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfasts, etc.
