SVDP Furniture/Household Items Drive-2006

This years Furniture Drive was held on Saturday, August 5, 2006, from 9 am to 1pm in our parish parking lot.. All furniture and household donations will stay in Summit County for distribution to the needy through CORE(formerly the SVDP Warehouse). The U-haul truck was filled to capacity thanks to generous parishioners and the Rummage Sale to benefit Kelly Freund.  Below are pictures from this year's drive:

Past Drives: The annual St. Vincent de Paul sponsored furniture collection was held Saturday, June 5th, 2004. All donations were taken to the SVDP Warehouse to be distributed to those in need in Barberton and Summit County.  Thanks to everyone who helped  make this a success. It helps SVDP members make Christ present to "the least of his brothers and sisters." About half a truck of good, usable furniture was collected. Below are pictures from this.

In addition, the Shamrock Motel on Norton Ave. donated 20 mattress sets which were also taken to the SVDP Warehouse.
