Parish Question for the Week

Re-read the gospel passage for the Seventeenth Sunday of the Year: Luke 11:1-13. In the reading, Jesus teaches his disciples to pray with great boldness and with a strong senses of perseverance.

Take a moment to reflect on how God is speaking to you in the above gospel passage, attracting the attention of your heart. Then consider the following question for reflection during the week before our next celebration of the Eucharist together. Ask yourself "so what?" What difference does this gospel passage make in my life and that of the faith community at Prince of Peace? Meditate on this. Decide to change one thing before our next weekend Eucharist together.

Parish Question of the Week: Today's Gospel tells us that God listens to our heart's desire and that asking is the right thing to do. The Holy Spirit wants to be involved in our desires. Believe that the Holy Spirit plants the seeds of those desires within us, especially those that are the best for ourselves and those we love.
