PARISH WEBSITE ICON—almost like an “app” for your Smart Phone

Prince of Peace now has a website icon that you can save to your smart phone, laptop or computer which will then link you to our parish website. It’s like a Prince of Peace app thanks to Ann Krizay, one of our parishioners.

First – load the www.princeofpeaceparish.org website into your browser to open the site. Sometimes your iphone may need to use the app ‘Safari’ to do this.

Once the website is open, follow the steps below based on the device you have.

For Apple phones or tablets:

1.Select Share button (the square box with an arrow pointing upward in it). It’s on the bar at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone or iPod Touch and at the top of the screen on an iPad.
2.Tap on “Add to Home Screen”
3.Type in Prince of Peace where the word (Home) appears on the first line
4.Touch “Add”
5.Close this site and when you return to your home screen, the Prince of Peace Icon will be there
6.Tap on the icon and the Prince of Peace website will load.

For Android phones or tablets:

1.Select the Menu dots – Three vertical dots (at the top right corner of your screen)
2.Scroll list and Tap on “Add to Home Screen”
3.Type in Prince of Peace (no spaces) or PoP where the word (Home) appears on the first line
4.Touch “Add”
5.Close this site and when you return to your home screen, the Prince of Peace Icon will be there
6.Tap on the icon and the Prince of Peace website will load.

For Windows tablets:

1.Pull up the app bar – by right clicking or swiping up from the bottom of your screen
2.Tap the star icon
3.Tap the pin icon
4.Type in Prince of Peace, as the name of the shortcut
5.Click Pin to Start
6.Close this site and when you return to your start screen, the Prince of Peace Icon will be there
7.Tap on the icon and the Prince of Peace website will load.

For Windows phones:

1.Tap the More button (three dots …)
2.Tap Pin to Start in the menu that appears
3.Type in Prince of Peace, as the name of the shortcut
4.Click Pin to Home Screen or Add to Home Screen
5.Close this site and when you return to your start screen, the Prince of Peace Icon will be there
6.Tap on the icon and the Prince of Peace website will load.
