Food Collection for Barberton Area Community Ministries

Background: Prince of Peace Church has an ongoing food collection to benefit the needy in the Barberton area. The food is distributed through the Barberton Area Community Ministries Office located at 636 Park Avenue in Barberton and their phone number is 330-745-3693.

Regularly Needed Pantry Items:

Peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned soups, canned meats, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, noodles, ravioli, and Spaghetti-O’s, brown paper bags.

Parishioners are asked to help on a regular basis and bring food to the vestibule of the church as often during the month as they are able. Put on the top of your shopping list "Food for the Poor" so you don't forget.

Target Donations for 2012:

January:    Macaroni & Cheese or Canned Ravioli

February:  Canned Meat---tuna, beef stew or others

March:     Potato Products, Boxed Dinners, Rice, noodles

April:        Peanut Butter & Jelly

May:         Cereal

June:         Vegetables---corn, peas, carrots or green beans

July:         Canned Fruit

August:    Potato Products, Boxed Dinners, Rice, noodles

September: Soup

October:    Peanut Butter & Jelly

November: Spaghetti and Spaghetti Sauce

December: Cereal
