Ministry Fair/Ice Cream Social

The list of Prince of Peace Parish Ministries was inserted in last weeks bulletin. Ideally, every parishioner should be involved in at least one ministry in the parish and share their gifts of time and talent to help the parish community carry out its mission of bringing God’s transforming love to all creation. It can be as simple as being part of our Prayer Line which can be done at home, to a more involved ministry of serving the needy in our area through personal home visits to the poor through our parish’s St. Vincent de Paul Society. There are many choices. Please take a moment, pray, and look more closely at the yellow insert to see what ministry the Holy Spirit may be leading you and your family to become involved. Below are a few of the pictures that were taken at the Ministry Fair/Ice Cream Social held after all the Masses on August 13/14, 2011. Many came to enjoy the ice cream and socialize with other parishioners.

Last year's event was held on Saturday-Sunday, August 14-15, 2010 after all the Masses(Ice Cream tasted the best after the 8:00am Mass!). Many came to enjoy the ice cream and socialize with other parishioners. This was also an opportunity to see how people could become active in some of the many ministries we have at Prince of Peace.

2009: Prince of Peace held an Ice Cream Social-Ministry Fair on the weekend of August 15/16, 2009. Everyone seemed to enjoy the ice cream, even after the 8am Mass. The special ministries in the parish also had an opportunity to attract new members.

2007: Prince of Peace held an Ice Cream Social-Ministry Fair on the weekend of August 18/19, 2007. It was a damp weekend but everyone seemed to enjoy the ice cream, even after the 8am Mass. The special ministries in the parish also had an opportunity to attract new members.
